America’s Attempted Suicide
Every so often, Americans get fed up with prosperity and personal freedom and naturally turn to liberals to lead us out of liberty. Liberals can always be counted on to relieve us of the burdens brought on by having too much control over our own lives and too much disposable income.
America has made several suicide attempts in her history; none as serious as the cry for help on November 4th 2008 when America chose self immolation spurred on by unrepentant Nazi collaborator George Soros. As dramatic as the Soros-Obama presidency has been, we’ve been trying to kill ourselves by way of a trillion paper cuts for decades. We’ve enabled far too much power to concentrate in Washington, in flagrant disregard for the sacrifices made by our Founding Fathers and the soldiers who fought a long, bloody war to escape precisely the kind of tyrannical government Soros-Obama is imposing upon us.
I am, however more optimistic today than I was last November. Soros-Obama extremism inevitably generated serious push back. However, relying on your opponent to screw up is not a winning strategy. Liberty loving patriots have got to define themselves clearly and in sharp contrast to the Soros-Pelosi-Reid-Obama cabal.
The republic is still standing, despite Obama’s best efforts to dismantle it. If we get it right this Novemember and next, there is hope that the patient will survive. Battered and bruised, perhaps but still recognizable as the United States.
