The Grand Deception: Jihadis Among Us

©2009

Steve Emerson is the Executive Director of The Investigative Project on Terrorism, an independent, non- profit organization.  Which means Emerson is not beholden to the government nor hamstrung by the lethal political correctness that has infected media and government.  Emerson does, however, provide briefings to US government and law enforcement agencies as well as congress.  The lack of bureaucratic baggage allows Emerson and his organization to infiltrate and gather intelligence that the government isn’t getting.

Having accumulated approximately 2500 hours of data, Emerson is putting a documentary together describing the great deception being perpetrated on the West by Islamic extremists and an apologetic media.  Emerson’s research has uncovered a troubling narrative currently running:  the radical groups cry  Islamophobia at  any attempt to examine or criticize terrorism.  The goal is to convince us that our thinking about Islam as a motivator for terrorism is irrational and extreme.  We are already seeing this in Europe with rapid movement toward criminalizing critical statements about Islam.  Among the top leaders of this Islamic  terrorism apologist movement is, according to Emerson:  The New York Times.

At a speech in Rancho Mirage California, Emerson did address the endless caterwauling about the  Moderate Muslim Majority.  But, we need to clarify the terms.  The media prattles constantly about “mainstream” Islam which is meant to convince us that mainstream equals moderate.  No, according to Emerson mainstream means no more than “average”.  Which is consistent with Mark Steyn’s observation that a moderate Muslim is one who can’t be bothered to fly a plane into a building,  but thinks Sharia law is an idea that is long overdue.

Emerson is quick to point out that certainly not all Muslims support jihad.  But the Muslims with the most influence in the mosques, the community and schools are working toward worldwide jihad.   The “moderate” Muslim  claims that Christianity and Judaism are “false religions”.  The mission to force Islam on the world is part of the moderate’s agenda.  Emerson also points out that nobody “converts” to Islam.  We can only “re-convert” back to Islam which, according to Islam,  is the only real truth.

While the Obama administration is busy ignoring violent jihad,  we should be paying some attention to the phenomenon of cultural jihad,  which is accomplished by Islamic infiltration into our mainstream;  including into all levels of government.  The cultural Jihadi won’t  necessarily carry out the violence, but will actively support the efforts.  One of the most influential, dangerous and powerful cultural al Qaeda operatives, Abdulrahman Alamoudi was all but a Clinton cabinet member.  Admired, awarded, accepted, wined and dined like the  head of a legitimate state, Alamoudi was the Clinton’s favorite Muslim for eight years.  He was finally arrested,  but Emerson warns that nobody at this time has any idea how much information Alamoudi was able to accumulate during his eight year Friend of Bill tour and what it will cost us.

To give credit where due, let’s not forget it was former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice who adopted the official  NYT  policy outlawing the use of the words “terror” and “Islam” together to avoid any suggestion that Islam and terrorism could have some, however tenuous,  connection.  Emerson acknowledged that when it comes to terrorism, Islam is entitled to claim the number one position:  the current ratio of terror attacks perpetrated by radical Muslims outnumbers those by other groups by 1000:1.

Apparently, Jihadi recruitment efforts in the US have been remarkably successful.   The FBI is doing a good job of stopping actual attacks in the planning stages,  but have no real ability to address the larger phenomenon of cultural jihad due to the constraints of the PC Police.  The current group of new Jihadi recruits in the US have no prior history of radical behaviors, strongly suggesting extremists are indoctrinating terrorists’ right in our backyards.

We now know that homegrown jihadi, Nidal Hasan attended the same mosque as two of the 9/11 hijackers and was attending prior to the September 11th attacks.  Hasan’s spiritual development was led by something of a Jeremiah Wright, uber radical Anwar Aulaqui, suspected to have ties to the Terrorist in Chief, Osama bin Laden.  An elder in the Religion of Peace, Aulaqui has lauded Hasan as a “hero”; finding indisputable virtue in the slaughter of innocent Americans:  “Nidal opened fire on soldiers who were on their way to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. How can there be any dispute about the virtue of what he has done? In fact the only way a Muslim could Islamically justify serving as a soldier in the US army is if his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal.”

Mark Steyn is properly posing the question of who is more nuts;  Hasan or his politically correct enablers?  Army Chief of Staff General George Casey on Meet the Press:  “As horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

I daresay most Americans are willing to trade some smug and self satisfied political correctness in exchange for a few less massacres.

Am I missing something here? Where does the number 7 million come from? I didn’t see that anywhere. This must have something to do with something else.

Quite frankly, as a Christian, I find it offensive that all these people on here want to claim that Christians have killed so many more than Muslims. If that’s true, then how do you explain Sudan where the Muslims have done nothing but murder Christians for their beliefs?

I personally find Islam offensive and insulting. I am any and every man’s equal, and as a former US Army soldier and a woman, I will never, ever submit to Sharia law or dress head to toe in black. If you want to supress your women, go right ahead, but don’t think you will ever be able to make that happen in the US. There are those of us who will stand against this.

Thank you Joy for having the courage to expose these evil people. I heard you on Larry Bates’ radio show, and you are a very intelligent and articulate lady. I also noticed that your book got 5 stars on Amazon. Can’t wait to read it.

    Sincerely,

    Jinger Jarrett

To all the robots commenting on Cenk”s TYT show:
If you watch the replay, you will note that Joy had first put the worldwide Muslim population at one billion, but was quikly interupted by the host, who kept confusing worldwide numbers with those in the US. I think the host of that show needs better listening skills.

Joy Tiz… you are an excuse for an excuse. Please refrain from being an academic in relation to any issue. Your beliefs towards the muslims in particular must be a reason to spend decades laughing at your ridiculous naivety. “7 MILLION MUSLIMS” !!!!!!!!!!! I am still reeling with laughter at your inability to substantiate your beliefs.

    YOU ARE A JOKE!!!!!!1

The number of Christians & non-Muslims who have committed unspeakable crimes in the military & worldwide outweighs the number of Muslims, but who really cares, right? This is bigotry at its best & it clearly shows how America isn’t acceptable of others even if it’s diverse & multicultural. It only judges one religious group & neglects others because of a small percentage of Muslims who abuse the religion Islam to suit & justify their wants & needs. Other members of religious groups have done exactly the same thing but they’re not judged as a whole are they?!

Note: Ms. Tiz, get your facts straight; you did a poor job presenting & supporting your arguments on TYT.

    From an upset American.

The reason others are focusing on the mistake Joy Tiz made about the population of Muslims is that it reflects her credibility. When a person cannot even get numbers & facts correct (& stubbornly refuses to see a mistake has been made on air), this is indicative of a person who lacks authenticity & is undeniably an undependable source of information.

“Does anybody notice that the Muslims here are stuck on Joy’s statement on the number of Muslims, rather than the data she presents?”

I hope you are being sarcastic. Because if you aren’t then you are claiming numbers aren’t data… If you read through the comments almost everyone has been refuting Joy’s data. And simply proving exactly what kind of credibility Joy had established in the interview. She told Cenk to do some ‘Googlin’ yet she thinks there are 7 million Muslims in the world. She had used those figures to back up claims that radicals comprise a much larger percentage than they really do. The actual percentage of radical Muslims is lower than 0.0005% and that is based on the actual number of Muslims which is over 1.2 billion.

What do we do with all the Muslims? Very simple. Reciprocity. We treat the Muslims in the same way they treat Christians in Saudi Arabia.

Im just wondering since you didn’t want to say on your interview with theyoungturks wht DO you think we should do with all those muslims running rampant in our military. Seeing as how its only 7 million we can take em all out. Hell Hitler knocked of 6million jews..(or by your math 600)

psh..were you serious claiming its only 7 million Muslims??? You have NO NO NO clue what in the world your talking about.

Man, you conservatives just need to learn to READ sometimes…

This proves Joy Tiz dont support or back up her arguments or comments with facts. The fact is theres 1.4billion muslins, another fact is that Joy Tiz is a big ignorant for saying theres only 7million muslims in the world.

And they say blonds are not dumb, this one is. Woman next time you go to TYT and least open a book or learn some facts by googling. Or else you will look like a dumber, hater, racist right wing woman.

“…a moderate Muslim is one who can’t be bothered to fly a plane into a building, but thinks Sharia law is an idea that is long overdue.” This is any different from the American Christians who can’t be bothered to blow up a woman’s clinic, but thing Roe V. Wade should be overturned?
“The ‘moderate’ Muslim claims that Christianity and Judaism are ‘false religions’. The mission to force Islam on the world is part of the moderate’s agenda.” Again- is this any different than the Christians who feel the same way and make up almost ALL of the Christians here in America?
“Emerson acknowledged that when it comes to terrorism, Islam is entitled to claim the number one position: the current ratio of terror attacks perpetrated by radical Muslims outnumbers those by other groups by 1000:1.” Accept that America is the largest terrorist nation in the world, and ALL the Abrahamic faiths are accountable for almost all massacres since the age of monotheistic religions…..
“I daresay most Americans are willing to trade some smug and self satisfied political correctness in exchange for a few less massacres.” Oh yes, I agree there- but let’s start calling all the other terrorist acts by their name- the Oklahoma City Bombing, done by an extremist Christian. The murder of how many woman’s clinic doctors(?) done by extremist Christians. The pushing of prayer in school, “Under God” in the pledge, and banning books like Harry Potter and Catch 22 for having “non-christian” images and vocabulary. Let’s talk about the movements and money and PC that goes on in our own back yard that NO ONE in the media wants to talk about- the glorification and acceptance of terrorist acts committed by CHRISTIANS in this nation…. Many of my Christian friends are in agreement- there’s other groups beyond the Muslims that have caused MORE damage and massacre in this nation. Let’s start worrying about them…

“Steve Emerson is the Executive Director of The Investigative Project on Terrorism, an independent, non- profit organization”

As a self-employed “game-designer” and sometimes writer I recognize how simple it is to set ones-self up as an “expert” on an esoteric subject.
However, to include a claim like “Emerson acknowledged that when it comes to terrorism, Islam is entitled to claim the number one position: the current ratio of terror attacks perpetrated by radical Muslims outnumbers those by other groups by 1000:1″ without any additional reference’s is, at best, dishonest.
Pray to your god that the revolution your subtly advocating doesn’t happen; because if it does, the children of those you consider yourself so much better and smarter than (you “get it” and we don’t RIGHT?) probably shan’t protect you…
It’s a sad little world you’ve made for yourself… but that’s just my opinion.

People who kill Innocent people are Terrorist- The American have killed countless people in the wars they have fought in the last 100 years (from Hiroshima to Vietnam to Iraq) so who is the terrorist ??

7 million Muslims world-wide? C’mon, any bounds of logic will tell you that that figure is wrong. Saudi Arabia alone are mostly Muslims and they have a population of 28 million (4 times more than your 7mil figure). Iran has a population of over 75 million and are mostly Muslim. C’mon!!!! You have access to Google for christ sakes LOOK IT UP before you open your mouth. Your ignorance is so damn blinding….or I should say, your swastika is blinding!!

Just your sheer lack of factual information and not being able tell us what your stance is on Muslim-AMERICANS in the military, clearly states what you are. You are a biggot, and just another crazy conservative blogger, who can’t pull her head out of her ass long enough to see the real world.

Man, Cenk gave you a whoopin’ today. You didn’t even try to back up your position on Muslims in the military, hell, you didn’t even admit you had a position on the matter. So, why’d you go?

Is Islam a motivator for terrorism? Of course it is, but so is every other religion that’s ever existed. You think that Islam is the sole contributor to terrorism in the world at large? Ever heard of Northern Ireland by chance? How about the sarin gas attacks in the Tokyo subways by the doomsday cult Aleph? How about the Lambs of Christ, or the Army of God? Those two specifically are examples of home grown, god fearing Christian terrorist organisations the latter of which Scott Roeder was loosely affiliated with. I could go on and on and on but if you did even the slightest amount of research you would already know this stuff.

Only 7 Million Muslims in the world? I laugh at you.

You’re a bigot, you have no idea what you’re talking about, you’re condescending and as Cenk would say, you’re a LOOOOOSER.

    Hey Rockpopple,

You are joking about the number of Chinese in the world, right?
And why do we compare a nationality with a religion? That’s just as stupid as thinking that the total number of muslims worldwide equals 7M… Oops sorry Joy didn’t mean to make fun of you :)

Stating that you will “accept” Cenk’s 1 billion Muslims in the world fact vs your 7 million Muslims “fact” is like accepting that a sandwich could cost a thousand dollars vs your notion that it was only 7 dollars. Another example which brings your ridiculous figure into light is accepting someones proposal that the distance between LA and NYC is 2,800 miles vs your original notion that the coasts of this country only span about 19 miles.
It’s embarrassing man. You are supposed to be representing the point of view of millions of people (or 37 people using your counting system), please for the love of your god, do some basic research. get a grasp of basic facts and have something to stand on.

To call Joy Tiz performance on The Young Turks “abysmal” would be giving her wholly undeserved praise. If you are going to talk about profiling Muslims worldwide because they have an ideology then we must start talking about seriously monitoring white conservative Christians as well. Lest we forget that the largest terrorist attack on the US prior to 9/11 was committed by a whiteboy in Oklahoma who was part of the populist militia movement. This year we have a bunch of goddamned christian conservative nutjobs killing abortion doctors, cops, and bringing guns to military installations presidential rallies and our despite the violent history of presidential assassination, and making not-so-veiled threats against our president and other political figures. According to Ms. Tiz these are “lone nuts” who do not have an ideology or are part of some larger movement. And should I remind Ms. Tiz that if we are going to profile based on race and religion that we could also look at folks from Northern Ireland or Serbs that killed Muslims or the Tamils because everyone knows they are all LTTE . By the way if you think there are only 7 million Muslims worldwide I will point you to here. Look up facts first before you start talking our of your hindparts.

Like, Oh My God! I just love you!

I saw you on that Young Turks show today and as soon as you said “Good Moderate Muslims” I was in LOVE. I’m okay with those people believing in another God but as long as they do it in moderation. We cant have people going to mask, who knows what kind of funny stuff goes on there. Americans go to church have private interventions with the priest.

By the way, you let Cenk have that stat about the muslims? What for? next time don’t give it to him. I have an old quote from Stephen A. Douglas another hero of mine.

“I have not brought moral charge of turpitude against him, and when he or any other living man brings one against me, instead of putting myself on the proof of disproving it, I will say it is a lie!” Of course I’d give a citation or a source but who needs it? Facts Shmacks.

Hey Joy. Saw you on theyoungturks. When Cenk claimed there was a billion muslims in the world, im proud of you for standing up to him letting him know the truth, that there is only 7 million muslims in the world. Unfortunately, google appears to be supporting Cenk’s claim… and all the other websites on the internet. No doubt a vast conspiracy by the liberal media. Stay strong joy. We shall overcome.
