Prayers for Senator Byrd’s family, but please spare us the sentimental glop over the shocking and untimely death of a ninety-two year old former KKK recruiter. Our Founding Fathers did not envision a nation led by career politicians. Byrd served himself in the senate for 128 years making his career one of the best arguments for term limits. There isn’t so much as a porta potty left in West Virginia that isn’t named after Byrd.
Byrd also served as a recruiter for the KKK and filibustered the Civil Rights Act. Democrats are always on the wrong side of civil rights. Check the record of the Sex Poodle’s sire for more.
Senator Byrd may rest in peace, but he’s left the rest of us with a legacy of racism and the archetype of a pork barrel spender with tax payer money.
