HR 3714, The Daniel Pearl Freedom of the Press Act, is supposed to require the State Department—those folks who apologize to China for Arizona’s imaginary human rights atrocities—to recognize “global threats” to journalists.
At the signing ceremony, the president refused to take questions, thus avoiding embarrassment to the jihad community:
What this act does is it sends a strong message from the United States government and from the State Department that we are paying attention to how other governments are operating when it comes to the press. It has the State Department each year chronicling how press freedom is operating as one component of our human rights assessment, but it also looks at countries that are — governments that are specifically condoning or facilitating this kind of press repression, singles them out and subjects them to the gaze of world opinion in ways that I think are extraordinarily important.
At no time did Obama identify the barbarians who tortured and beheaded WSJ reporter Danny Pearl, then thirty eight years old. Danny, the lionhearted used his last moments of life to embrace his Jewish heritage rather than capitulate to his bloodthirsty butchers.
Of course, the “global threat” to journalists and the rest of us is Islamic jihad. Nobody in the Obama administration dares acknowledge it. Offering up America’s throat, Attorney General Eric Holder could not even be shamed into admitting that the recent terrorist attacks in the past year which were perpetrated by Muslim terrorists were perpetrated by Muslim terrorists.
Rep. Lamar Smith: In the case of all three attempts in the last year, the terrorist attempts, one of which was successful, those individuals have had ties to radical Islam. Do you feel that these individuals might have been incited to take the actions that they did because of radical Islam?
AG Holder: There are a variety of reasons why I think people have taken these actions. I think you have to look at each individual case.
Exactly! As New York Mayor Bloomberg so astutely pointed out, the Times Square bomber was most likely driven by his opposition to ObamaCare, not Islamic ideology.
Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano’s Newspeak mandates that we label acts of Islamic terrorism as “man-caused” disasters. Peaceful Tea Partiers in lawn chairs are defined as dogma driven guerillas.
The administration’s obeisance to Islamic terrorism will be complete if the planned thirteen story mosque is built at Ground Zero. They came, they bombed and now they may occupy.
Proving the truth of the old adage about give an inch, take a mile, there are plans for not one, but two mosques close to Ground Zero. Plans are in the works for a five story building closer to Ground Zero than the thirteen story mosque would be.
A young Saudi woman can find the mettle to resist Islamic repression. Iranian dissidents, including the resolute and beautiful young Neda, took to the streets to oppose Muslim oppression. The President of the United States bows and scrapes to Islamic terrorists and slave owners.
All of that free flowing information bewailed by Barack Obama will inevitably spark rebellion against Islamic oppression in the Middle East. Rather than stand up for this change we can truly believe in, Obama will use the power of the government to choke off dissent in America.
