Count on Our Vets

As we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of liberty, we can’t help but despair that America is fighting for her very survival not only against a bloodthirsty ideology masquerading as a religion-  America is under attack from within as well.

Nobody can defeat our military, of this we can be certain.  But, we are vulnerable at home.  We the people have ceded power to those who seek to destroy our way of life.

From our deepest pain, we can find our greatest hope.  It breaks our hearts to lose our fine young men and women to war.  Yet the same call to service lives on in those who do come home.

As our pop culture continues to putrefy, we can look to this new generation of veterans to remind us of what is best in us.  As we pray for the safety of our soldiers in harms way, let’s add a prayer that God grants these  brave Americans the will to continue to serve.  My greatest source of optimism  is the belief that some of our young veterans will feel the call and serve in their communities and in Washington.
