Hey, he brought it up, not us. Using the National Prayer Breakfast to whine about how everyone is picking on him, Obama raised the issue of his citizenship. Using talking points presumably prepared by Chris Matthews, Obama also bleated straight-faced about the lack of “civility” in DC. This from the guy whose chief of staff just referred to his fellow democrats as a bunch of effing “retards.” Former ballerina, Rahm Emanuel quickly recognized the offensiveness of his comments and apologized to the retards for comparing them to democrats.
In what would have been one of the best lines of his career, had he any capacity for self deprecating humor (no narcissist does), Obama denounced DC as a “Tower of Babel”, which he pronounced as “babble.”
Obama’s self indulgent caterwauling compelled him to take a shot at the constitutionalists who have questions about Obama’s eligibility to be president. His nutroots supporters insist on accusing the birthers of claiming that Obama is an illegal alien.
As always, the allegedly Harvard-trained lawyer misunderstands the legal issues. The crux of the birther’s inquiry is not whether or not Obama is legally in the United States. The question is whether or not he meets the Constitutional requirement that he be a “natural born citizen.”
There are no prior cases which specifically take up the issue of how to define “natural born” citizen for the purposes of determining eligibility for the highest office in the land. Courts often look to legislative intent when treading new legal ground. In this instance, our Founders clearly wanted to prevent a situation in which the Commander in Chief’s loyalties could be divided.
Reasonable minds could certainly differ as to whether one parent’s status as a foreign national could lead to an inference of divided loyalties or not. It’s a legitimate Constitutional and legal issue that should have been addressed during the 2008 campaign. An excess of political correctness got in the way and left this serious question unanswered.
Obama has been stung by a string of narcissistic injuries; expect him to be throwing all kinds of wild punches like this as he straddles the fence between reality and his own inner paranoia.

I wonder why nobody wants to recognize the Elephant in the middle of the room? Obama graduated as a constitutional scholar, is it somehow possible that he NOT know he is unqualified? If if true, why would he pursue this course of action KNOWING that he is not qualified? Secondly, the Congress, and the Senate are filled with the most learned of people in the US on US Law, and all, or mostly all KNOW that he is not qualified, simply by his natural fathers Kenyan (british) birth, or his stepfathers Indonesian birth. Clearly when a common man knows he is not qualified, a more learned one definately knows. So what is the political agenda here, and to what end? He was illegally vetted by leaders in the Democratic party, and the blame from every state that qualified him to be on the ballot, was put squarely on these leaders.
Is someone else pulling the strings of our government, and to what end? Why, once it is widely known, is the error NOT corrected? Who is stopping the process, and for what reason?
IMO America is being destroyed from the inside, and our courts are not allowing discovery to proceed. If indeed, our democracy survives, investigations need to be directed by constitutionally knowledgeable servants of the people. SCOTUS needs to investigate this because it is obvious that investigation is warranted. Yet, it flounders with minutae, designed to stave off such investigations. There is obvious subtrafuge going on, and nobody with the clout in the Judicial system, ie. judges, SCOTUS, are willing to take it on. WHY???
Something is afoot that we can only conjecture. That in itself leads one to wonder who really elects our leaders, and who really runs our country.
The slick version of a “Birth Certificate” of Der Leider as seen online would never pass muster at any DMV, or by TSA at the airport.
We won the election and now these sore losers will continue to spew your hate with lies. The way our courts work is that you get a competent lawyer, verifiable facts and present them to a judge, if the facts are real and not half baked lies, then, and only then, you proceed to trial. The Birthers seem to be having a problem with their so called facts that they present. Let’s face it no one will go along with you until you guys win a case, but until then, you will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three. Keep plucking that chicken.
I believe, as many, and I think in ways the very intelligent lady, Joy Tiz, would agree that however, wherever he was born isn’t as relative as the fact he’s obviously dead set on undermining the Constitution, rules of law, financial structure and the very fabric of our U.S. sovereignty. Any Democratic liberal with any real respect for our country would see this man is nothing but a Soros puppet and is certainly doing everything in his power to destroy our nation as we know it. If anyone can’t see that then they are merely puppets to the propaganda this man espouses with nothing but rhetoric and no substance. Our government needs a severe and immediate overhaul on both sides of the aisle and time is quickly running out as we continue to watch the erosion of U.S. dollar and credit decline in all financial markets in the world. We all know opinions are like “you know what” and everyone has one but we need strong leadership with real solutions starting with stopping gov’t waste, spending and concentrate our time, effort and money on issues relative to revitalizing our nations taxpaying citizens. To do that we don’t need the Fed Reserve, EPA, IRS, HUD, DOE and innumerable other departments of gov’t waste and expense. Slap a flat or fair tax on the mainstream American citizen and it will begin a big step in our economic recovery coupled with a large reduction in gov’t size, control and expense. The bottomline is simply less gov’t means less problems and issues for “We the People”.
NO court rulings have addressed the meaning of “natural born citizen” in the context of being POTUS. None.
If anyone thinks they have case law that interprets natural born for the puposes of eligibility to serve as president, you are invited to post your cases here.

There are plenty of legitimate issues that will bring this political hack to his knees. I don’t feel the need to discuss what has been locked and sealed, how can one possibly argue points that are not public knowledge? I can’t believe I’ve even gone this far, and trust me I won’t take any further.

Why not attempt to discuss the facts and the law? You will not convince anyone by just calling names. The situation is this: (1) There is proof that Obama was born in Hawaii; (2) The original meaning of Natural Born is simply “born in the country.”
All citizens at birth, meaning all citizens who were born in the country, are natural born. Obama was born in the country. Obama is a Natural Born Citizen.
I could give a crap about where this commie hack was born, and Americans need to get off it! Look for it to be brought up time and time again leading up to the coming election. The left cannot debate issues, so they always resort to smear and lies, I know… go figure.

He does not have to prove Jus Sanguinis. That is not required. Birth in the USA is sufficient, so long as you are a citizen. The original meaning of Natural Born was simply “born in the country.”
He has proven Jus Soli, as his official birth certificate from Hawaii shows. The Certification of Live Birth is the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and it is the only one that Hawaii currently issues. It no longer issues copies of the original birth certificate. (http://www.starbulletin.com/columnists/kokualine/20090606_kokua_line.html.) That is the document that Obama posted.
The two top officials of the Department of Health of Hawaii have twice stated that the facts on the Certification are confirmed by the facts on the original document (which they never issue copies of to ANYONE).
It is not possible in Hawaii to obtain a Certification of Live Birth or an original birth certificate that says “born in Hawaii” on it if you are not born in Hawaii. Obama’s says clearly that he was born in Hawaii.

He isn’t. He posted and showed the physical copy of his OFFICIAL birth certificate of Hawaii, the only one that Hawaii now issues. It is accepted as proof of birth in the USA by the US State Department.

Look, be real. Most of us regular people have to produce a BC for darn near anything, like getting a drivers’ license. Why is Obama hiding his? How the heck did he get anything done before being a senator? I figure the reality is that there is something on the BC that is very embarassing to him. Or, being his mother was a hippie, she may have declared that he wasn’t a US citizen to keep him away from that “evil capitalist imperialist white man ruled” society. This would present problems. The real issue is that he was not raised in the US during some of his formative years. He is not emotionally attached to this society, and does not believe in it.
Why don’t his handlers and speechwriters stop him from this embarrassing public whining? I know he’s not very bright, and is a pathological narcissist, but the people who load his teleprompter know better than allow him to do this…

He does. Every citizen who was born in the USA is a Natural Born Citizen.
