Hey, remember that Krazy Kinetic Action in Libya? Evidently, John Boehner’s memory of the non war was jogged when Dennis Kucinich (D-Mars) offered up a proposal to end the action within 15 days.
Boehner responded with a resolution directing the president to explain himself as Obama has reached the outer limits of his authority under the War Powers Act.
Obama is merely continuing the democrat tradition of dragging us into wars in which America has no vital national interest. Dispatching Gaddafi by way of Team Six would be one thing–we owe him a visit from our Special Forces. But does anyone have the foggiest idea of what’s happening in Libya?
Only a Democrat could get away with it. The media tells us nothing. Where are our troops? How many are there in the area? And where the heck are they based?
The most important question of all is what is the mission? We don’t know. Congress clearly doesn’t know. And the smart money says Obama certainly has no idea.
Boehner’s efforts to pin Obama down on Libya need to be much stronger. This administration has proved itself to be utterly lawless. Nobody can seriously think that he will respond to demands from congress that he pay attention to the Constitution.
