According to the Times, the new group will be dedicated to
recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s effort to win control of the Senate.
In other words, Rove is devoting his expertise and funds to making sure we get stuck with the same spineless lot of Republicans we have now. They showed us what they can do in 2012. It was the Tea Party who brought the Republicans their smashing victory in 2010, not the Republican establishment.
Rove is hell bent on doing the same thing over and over again while hoping for a different result. The establishment can’t fathom doing things any way other than their own failed tactic of chasing the elusive “moderate” vote. They did a bang up job in 2008 and 2012. Last year’s election should have been a walk in the park. The Republicans were running against the worst president in modern history.
But, the former Bush insiders were adamant that only they knew the true path to victory.

I agree that things will not change for the better as long as the insiders remain in power. They are determined to be “liked” at any cost. They continually compromise with no reciprocation from the Democrats, and now want to move toward the center so they can be liked as much as the Democrats seem to be liked. When will they learn to not play into the hands of the media and the Democrats?
