Mute the Trumpet

Ignoring a fundamental rule of politics–you never punch down, only up– the President of the United States called a press conference to respond to private citizen, Donald Trump’s requests that the president produce his birth certificate.

Obama just wouldn’t be Obama if he didn’t throw in a little whining about how hard it is to get networks to interrupt their programming for his oh-so-important eternal speechifying.

At long last, Obama has produced something purported to be a birth certificate.  In due time, there will be plenty of analysis of its authenticity.  Meanwhile, Trump has sworn to use his special powers only for good.  Read more...

Tyrant Obama Finds New Way to Wreck Business

Emperor Obama has found yet another way torment business and bend corporate policies to his will.  The 83 year old long time CEO of  Forest Laboratories, Inc., Howard Solomon’s son once wrote a book about depression that so moved his father, he led to company to market the anti depressant medications, Celexa and Lexapro.

HHS has started invoking a rarely used policy that enables the government to ban health industry companies from doing business with the government if there has been criminal activity by the company, whether or not the corporate leadership was involved or even aware.  Read more...

Obamanomics: China to Take Over by 2016

2012 presidential hopeful, Barack Obama is celebrating a milestone in his war on America’s economy.  The IMF has announced that by 2016, China will surpass the United States as the world’s largest economy.

Using real terms, rather than buy into China’s  imaginary devaluation of its currency, we’re a mere five years away from being kicked down the ladder by China. 

Irrespective of liberal bleating to the contrary, a world in which the U.S. is the dominant force is a far better place than any of the alternatives.   Read more...

Disgrace the Nation

Democrat 2012 hopeful, Barack Obama was scheduled to give a speech about the budget yesterday; but, instead he delivered a screed expressing his personal frustration over our collective resistance to Marxist principles.

Never one given to originality, Obama fell back on the standard tax-the-rich twaddle in his fact-free diatribe.  At no point did the president offer up any coherent plans for reducing our destructive deficit.

El Presidente would have us believe that government is the source of all good in our lives, irrespective of mountains of evidence to the contrary.  No, Mr. President, America did not achieve greatness because of, but rather in spite of the government.  Read more...

It’s the Constitution, Stupid!

We’re having the wrong argument about spending.  Of course, we can’t afford the trillions being blown in useless and outright destructive government programs.  But, that line of reasoning suggests that when they economy is smokin hot, we really should be paying for self esteem classes for child molesters.

Most government spending is manifestly unconstitutional.  Our Founders, in their wisdom, delegated just a few powers to the federal government–essentially, those functions that nobody else could do. 

Defending the country, for example, is a legitimate function of the government.  Naturally, defense is the only spending liberals are ever willing to cut.  Read more...

Pity Poor Barry

Pity poor Barry.  A few weeks ago, the Commander in Chief of the world’s greatest military was asked about the toughest part of his job.  He said it was the loss of privacy.  Not a word about sending our troops into battle.  His biggest problem in life is not being free to wander the streets anonymously.

The Daily Mail finally clarifies why Obama spends so much of his time on the golf course.

I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can’t take a walk.  Read more...

Deal or No Deal

America awaits an eleventh hour deal to keep the bloated and incompetent government running with only the normal ineptness.  Apparently, Republicans suddenly recalled exactly why it was the people threw so many democrats out of office and rediscovered their spines.

Relax, America.  If they shut the government down, you won’t notice.  Social security checks will still come on time and the CIA will still be on the job, albeit hamstrung by Obama’s anti America policies.

What dems fear most is that the public will figure out how many government employees we can do without.  Having no  EPA for a few days is a blessing.  Read more...

Hopey, Changey Egypt

So, how is that hopey, changey thing working out in Egypt?  Obama couldn’t shove Mubarak out the door fast enough, liberals and too many conservatives who really should have known better were all agog over the preposterous delusion that getting rid of one of our precious few allies in the Middle East would lead to some kind of glorious freedom for the Egyptian people.

Instead, Egyptians are worse off than ever before.  There is no work, there is no money.

Obama Affirms Another Bush Policy

Presidential hopeful, Barack Obama announced via the dumbest attorney general since Janet Reno that KSM and his terrorist comrades will be tried in military tribunals.  The announcement coincided with Obama’s official declaration of his candidacy.

The never astute AG, Eric Holder, had desparately wanted to please Obama’s boss, George Soros,by trying KSM and his fellow True Believers in Manhattan.  Nobody in New York other than the  liberal trustonians thought this was a sane idea.

The simpering Holder blamed it all on congress.  America thanks you, 112th.

Battered Women and Koran Burners

Any woman who has successfully escaped from an abusive partner knows a thing or two about koran burning.

She remembers all to clearly how it was always her fault when her husband beat the daylights out of her.  She shouldn’t have made him so mad!  She knows how he gets, she really ought to watch herself.

Believing this kind of insanity is part of the syndrome.

Screwy Louie Got $8M From Gaddafi

This explains a lot.  In case anyone was wondering why Louis Farrakhan was so vehement in his defense of Gaddafi–well, beyond the fact that Louie is insane–perhaps this is the reason.

Farrakhan portrayed Gadhafi as a fellow revolutionary and longtime friend to the Nation of Islam, which used $3 million it borrowed from Libya in the 1970s to acquire its opulent headquarters on Chicago’s South Side. Years later, a $5 million loan was used to pay back taxes and costs for the home of the movement’s former leader Elijah Muhammad.  Read more...

Obama’s Doctrine

The mainstream media is desperately flopping around the deck as their guy flounders.   They spend an unseemly amount of time trying to translate for us.  If Obama is such a brilliant communicator, why does it require so much effort by liberal commentators to tell us what Obama really means?

Obama’s Emetic Action

Great news for the Mad Dog of the Mid East–Obama took time out last night to reassure Gaddafi that the United States remains firm in it’s commitment not to put troops on the ground where they actually could pound the life out of him and his store bought troops.  With plenty of cash and gold on hand, Gaddafi can hire enough mercenaries to keep the war going for a very long time.

As Gadaffi’s troops were pushing back the rebel forces from every direction on the ground, the president was crowing about his swift and decisive action, declaring he took control of the situation a month ago.  Read more...

Obama’s Boss Wages Kinetic Action Against Fox News

Hoping to kill the messenger, the Soros funded Media Matters mob is gearing up for all out “guerrilla war and sabotage” against Rupert Murdoch and Fox News.

The group, launched as a more traditional media critic, has all but abandoned its monitoring of newspapers and other television networks and is narrowing its focus to Fox and a handful of conservative websites, which its leaders view as political organizations and the ‘nerve center’ of the conservative movement.

Fomenting phony lawsuits, boycotts and exploiting disgruntled employees makes more sense to liberals than actually competing in the marketplace of ideas.   Read more...

Mission Muddled

Those of us on the left coast are often late in catching up on breaking news.  Thus, I may have missed the mission du jour in Libya this morning.

As of bedtime last night, it was to install democracy.  It seems like only yesterday the mission was strictly humanitarian.  Oh wait.  It was yesterday.

The Daily Mail has nicknamed Obama the Great Vacillator.  Personally, I don’t think he’s all that great.

We surely can’t expect the Commander in Chief to worry about defining the mission in Libya.  He’s gone out of his way to make it clear that the United States is not remotely interested in assuming any leadership when it comes to this mission.  Read more...

Obama’s Boss: Drill, Baby Drill, in Brazil

 Obama is telling Brazil to drill baby, drill so we can someday import their oil.  Oh sure, there was a horrific earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident, and we are, apparently, in another war–but first things first. 

The boss wants Brazilian oil to flow.  George Soros  is heavily invested in Petrobras, the state owned Brazilian oil company.

Brazil has benefited from our offshore drilling permatorium, and if Brazilian oil does well, Obama’s boss is pleased.

Putin and Michael Moore: Speaking With One Voice

Vlad the Impaler Putin has joined such liberal luminaries as Michael Moore in condemning military strikes against the Libyan Terrorist in Chief.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday a U.N. resolution authorizing military action in Libya resembled ‘mediaeval calls for crusades’ after Western forces launched a second wave of air strikes.

Putin’s comments express the long standing unity among liberals and communists.

Commander Clueless Strikes Libya

The Commander in Chief has again changed the way the world sees America.  About a month after the Libyan people begged the United States to intervene to stop Gaddafi’s mass civilian slaughter, Obama was finally shamed into taking action by FRANCE.

But, of course, not until he got permission from the U.N.

As is his way,  the CIC sent troops into harm’s way without a clearly defined mission.

As near as anyone can guess, the mission was something along the lines of “protecting the Libyan people.”  Taking  out Gaddafi’s air defense systems took our magnficient military about fifteen minutes.  Led by FRANCE.  Read more...
